Help us Chart the Course of WERA

WERA is a not-for-profit organization of professionals working at all levels of education dedicated to improving the practice of instruction, assessment, evaluation, conducting and applying educational research, and using data to inform instructional decisions. 

Are you passionate about WERA's work to improve the practice of instruction, assessment, evaluation, conducting & applying educational research, and using data to inform instructional decisions? Do you have a colleague whose voice could help shape WERA's goals and member offerings in the coming years?

If so, we strongly encourage you to submit a nomination for the WERA Executive Board.

WERA is looking for experienced and passionate leaders in education to join our board  to support professionals working at all levels of education in order to:

• Promote, maintain, and improve the quality and effectiveness of educational research, evaluation, assessment, and related services;
• Identify and define educational issues and provide a forum for their discussion;
• Assist in the dissemination of research and evaluation findings; and
• Promote in-service experiences for those who engage in educational research, evaluation, assessment, instruction, and related activities.

We welcome nominations from across the state and field.  Nominations close on December 16, 2022.

This year we will be electing one person as President-Elect, who will serve a three year term, including the 2024-2025 year as President.  We will also be electing one person to serve a three-year term as an At-Large board member.

Board elections take place in February and newly elected Board Members will begin their term in June 2023. Please go to WERA's nominations form to nominate yourself or a colleague.
